Age UK Surrey Invite you to Join their Tea and Chat Sessions in Tandridge: Come As Strangers Leave As Friends !

Age UK Surrey are delighted to say their Tea and Chat sessions are continuing in Caterham, Oxted and Lingfield, so do come and join them, everyone is welcome!

The groups meet:

  • Fortnightly on a Monday, 10.30 – 12.00pm at the Douglas Brunton Centre in Caterham. Next session 20th March.
  • Once a month on a Tuesday, 2.30 – 4.00pm in the Bluehouse Social Centre, Bluehouse Lane in Oxted. Next session 4th April.
  • Once a month on a Thursday, 2.30 – 4.00pm at the Lingfield Community Centre, Jennings Hall, Lingfield. Next session 30th March.

Dementia Friendly Reading Group come along and join in this FREE activity  in the Social Centre, Bluehouse Lane Oxted RH8 0AD (junction of Station Road East and Bluehouse Lane)

Dementia Friendly Reading Group is a project run by Tandridge Voluntary Service Council (TVSC) and is a great way to meet other people.  It may also help you if you are experiencing problems with memory or concentration. 

If you love reading and would like to share this experience with others, come along and drop in to the Social Centre on Thursday afternoons.

The sessions are held fortnightly on Thursdays from 2.30 until 3.30pm.

The fortnightly sessions are led by volunteers who carefully choose short stories, poems or items of current interest to read aloud and chat about.  You are also welcome to bring or suggest material you would like to hear or talk about and you might even like to read aloud to the group yourself.  A similar activity is also successfully running at The Douglas Brunton Centre in Caterham.

Caterham Dementia Café Now run by the Good Care Group

If your life is affected by dementia, come along to the Dementia Café to find out more information about the condition and meet other people. The Dementia Café provides people with dementia, their carers and professionals with a platform to talk openly about living with dementia in a relaxed and informal environment. There will also be a variety of guest speakers including health and social care professionals and representatives from the local community, as well as a range of activities.

Sessions are held Monthly on the second Thursday of the month at the Douglas Brunton Centre from 3pm to 5pm.  There is a small charge of £2.00 per person.

Age Concern

Every Monday, Oxted Community Hall, 53 Church Lane, Oxted, RH8 9NB 9am to 1pm.  Refreshments, plants, greeting cards, pencil art, photo restoration and enhancement, jewellery, bric-a-brac and guest stalls.  Ladies hairdressing and clothing alterations alternate weeks.


Tandridge Club for the Visually Impaired

Headway Surrey

Stepping Stones

Every Wednesday Stepping Stones meet at Oxted United Reformed Church at 21 Bluehouse Lane, Oxted, RH8 0AA between 9.30am and 12noon.  Stepping Stones is a social group set up with the intention of helping people who may be suffering various forms of social anxiety including depression.  Meetings include chats, games, quizzes, coffee, tea and biscutis as well as the opportunity for social contact and mutual support.  For more information call 07533 613 778
