Half-Term Family Activity Session:

Thursday 31st May 2018, 10am - 12noon.



Based on the bestselling children’s author David Walliams


Suitable for children aged 7 to 12 yrs. old. Make a cartoon strip or mini book: illustrating, designing and story writing plus learn more about the inspiration for books such as Bad Dad and The World’s Worst Children.

Storytime Special - "Elmer and Friends"

Friday 1st June 2018, 2-3:30pm


Storytime and crafts for children aged 3 to 6 yrs. old. Parents/carers must stay with their children during this session which includes stories, models, and mask making. Older siblings are welcome. Refreshments are included.

Local History Talk: Wednesday 23rd May 2018, 7:30pm.  

We now have fixed a date of Wednesday 23rd May for our local history talk by Jeremy Harte, curator of the Bourne Hall Museum who will be telling us about the fascinating history of the Epsom Wells, in this the 400th year of the discovery of the healing powers of the waters.  This will be a ticketed event - tickets will be £2 and will include refreshments - and looks to be an exceptionally entertaining evening.

FREE Computer Talks for Beginners: in June and July

We are hosting a FREE series of Computer Talks this summer for beginners who want to gently increase their knowledge.

12th June 1400-1500


Have you ever wondered what an IP address or an SSID is? Or would you like to know more about the different ways your computer can connect to the Internet? This talk, for complete beginners, demystifies the terms and technology used to connect you to the Internet. No prior knowledge is assumed.

3rd July 1400-1500


This first talk of two, for complete beginners, will help you explore your computer, making sense of its various files and folders. Would you like to be better at copying or sorting your documents, photos and music on your Windows computer? This talk will help anyone with a Windows computer to understand how to find, copy or move your files around your computer’s folders.

10th July 1400-1500


This second talk of two, for complete beginners, will help you explore your computer, making sense of its various files and folders. It will help you to understand what the different types of files on your Windows computer are and how you can use them. It will also show you how to use context menus to quickly perform actions on your files.



Places on these FREE talks are limited to 10 places. To book your place;

  • Come into Stoneleigh Library and ask at the main desk.

Regular Events and Activities
Monday Storybox: (Termterm Only)  

Stories and crafts with a different theme each week. Suitable for children aged from 18 months up to 4 years accompanied by a parent or carer. Storybox runs during term-time only on Mondays 10 - 11am, however there are often Storybox special events over half-term and other holidays.



Friday and Saturday Rhymetimes: (  

Library rhymetime sessions are aimed at babies and toddlers, aged under five, along with their parents and carers. The events are based entirely on sharing nursery rhymes, action songs and percussion music. It is fun, interactive and noisy! Friday Rhymetime includes stories.


Fridays      14:00 - 14:30
Saturdays  11:15 - 11:45


Tuesday Spanish Rhymetime: (  


An addtional Rhymetime weekly in Spanish! This is a free activity for babies toddlers and pre schoolers with parents and carers. No booking required and no previous knowledge of Spanish necessary!


Tuesdays   10:15 - 10:35

Creative Writing Group:  

This small but welcoming group meets meets monthly on a Friday 14:30 - 15:45 and is for anyone interested in improving their creative writing skills, even if they have not much writing experience. Any pieces submitted will be read and then sympathetically discussed.
