OVRA Chairman's Message.
Thank you for the questionaires. It is clear from the replies that the majority want OVRA to continue as a social organization and as a voice on local and borough issues.
On the difficult subject of engaging with the younger age groups in the Village to become more active members there were fewer suggested remedies. While time and energy for all of us is in short supply, it is of some importance to you that your Village remains the place you want to live in. That will not happen if WE are not 'a community'.
Are your Village neighbours and friends aware that they can join OVRA? Do some think that they are members but have not renewed this year?
* OVRA's stated objective is to 'safeguard the amenities of the Onslow Village and to promote the welfare, interests and well-being of the residents.'
