To brighten January we had hoped to hold a Caribbean Evening, but this had to be postponed to March due to the snow!  However, it was very successful with lots of warming food, fun and friendship.

In April we celebrate our 65th anniversary with a birthday lunch and "in-house" entertainment with some of our very talented members.

Our craft classes and monthly "stitch & chat" craft afternoons continue.  See the events calendar for craft classes or informal craft afternoons.

At the Chinthurst Group Annual Meeting, to which our WI belongs, two of our members were elected to continue in their posts as Convenor and Treasurer but the role of Assistant Convenor is still vacant.  The Spring meeting on 26 March featured Gerry Wykes speaking on Treasures and the Tower.  There will be a Group Lunch on 19 August at St Mark's Community Centre.  The Autumn meeting will be held in Bramley Village Hall on 30 October when Graham King will give an audio-visual presentation entitled I wrote You a Poem. Members are encouraged to enter a competition to write a poem Ode to Autumn up to 12 lines.

Our regular pub lunches are increasingly propular and we continue to hold our own social events, recently holding a lively Beetle Drive.  Money raised went to funds for future speakers and towards the bursary to send a member to Denman College.
