Welcome to the Merstham Horticultural Society website.The Society was originally formed in 1904.

We meet once a month, on the first Monday, at Canada Hall, next to the Church in Battlebridge Lane, Merstham, starting at 8.00pm.  The sessions are always interesting and topical and during question time members can find answers to their garden problems.It will cost you £3.00 for the evening and if you enjoy the talk it might be worth considering annual membership which is good value currently at £16.

So far this year we have had speakers talking on various topics including Garden Festivals of Britain, Lakeside Gardens of Northern Italy and planting  up baskets and tubs.

Still to come are engaging  talks  on, The day BBC Gardeners World filmed our Subtropical Garden, The Canary Islands in Spring, Fruit for the Small Garden and a talk on Richmaond Park  and the Isabella Plantation.Coffee tea  and biscuits are  provided  during the interval .

We also hold an Annual Plant Sale, this year it is at Canada Hall on 12th May 2018.  Here a wide variety of plants wll be for sale , all grown by our society members. Members will also be on hand to answer all your garden queries.

The society  holds an Annual Show  which is always popular. This year the show will be held on 1st September 2018  in the Merstham  Community Hub. 2a Portland Drive. There are three sections in the show one for flowers , one for fruit and one for vegetables. Children are also encouraged to enter the show and trophies are awarded  for the  best exhibits.
