Welcome to the Merstham Horticultural Society website. The Society has been around since 1904 and is still going.

We meet once a month, on the first Monday, at Canada Hall, next to the Church in Battlebridge Lane, Merstham, starting at 8.00pm.  The sessions are always interesting and topical and during question time members can find answers to their garden problems. It will cost you £3.00 for the evening and if you enjoy the talk it might be worth considering annual membership which is good value currently at £16.

So far this year we have had speakers talking on various topics including Garden Festivals of Britain, Lakeside Gardens of Northern Italy and planting  up baskets and tubs.

Still to come are engaging  talks  on,  Fruit for the Small Garden on 1st October 2018 and a talk on Richmond Park  and the Isabella Plantation on firework night 5th November.

Coffee tea  and biscuits are  provided for refreshment during the interval .

The Society Show Committee has been very busy of late finalising details for our Annual Show on 1st September 2018  in the new Merstham  Community Hub. 2a Portland Drive, Merstham. There are three sections in the show this year, one for flowers , one for fruit and one for vegetables. Children are also encouraged to enter the show and trophies are awarded  for the  best exhibits.
