When your SurreyCommunity.info site is set up, your group's name is automatically displayed at the top of every page.

This is normally a good thing as it helps visitors know which site they are on (remember, not all visitors will start at your home page - many will find you by a search engine and could arrive at any page on your site).

However, you can prevent your group's name from being displayed. You might want to do this if you are using a custom theme or if you are already displaying the group name elsewhere on the page.

Note that this is all or nothing - you can only choose to display the group name on all pages or no pages. It isn't possible to choose to display the name on just some of your pages.

To hide your group name on pages

  • Click on the look and feel tab and then display options
  • Click the edit button
  • Make sure that Display community name is not ticked (click on the box next to it to add or remove the tick)
  • Click the OK button. The change will be applied immediately to your site.
