The CMHTs are integrated health and social care teams with a single team manager. The teams focus specifically on adults with severe and enduring mental health problems. These multidisciplinary/agency teams are based within the community but work closely with all components of statutory services and a range of independent and voluntary sector agencies to provide a cohesive package of care. The CMHT operates from Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm and serves area of Guildford. Telephone 01483 443551.
The Canterbury Centre- Guildford
The Canterbury Drop in Day Centre runs a service for adults who are suffering, or have suffered with mental illness who live in the SW Surrey area (Guildford, Farnham, Haslemere and villages in between. On offer are social activities, a friendly atmosphere, informal help and advice, creative arts and writing, and physical activities. Refreshments and sandwich lunch is also provided. The centre is open on Monday from 10am until 4pm and Thursday and Friday from 10am until 1pm. You may drop into the centre or be referred by your GP or Social Services and Guildford CMHT. There is a cost for this service but this is only for lunch which is of low cost. Telephone: 01483 577020
