THURSDAY 16th MAY  2019                                                                                                                                        BRIGHTON

A morning visit to Preston Manor, a delightful house which evokes the atmosphere of an Edwardian gentry house, both upstairs  and downstairs. There will be a guided tour of more than 30 rooms from the renovated Servant Quarters and Butler's  pantry in the basement  to the day nursery and attic bedrooms on the top floor.

By coach into Brighton, with free time for lunch. ln the afternoon,  a visit to Brighton Art Gallery and Museum famous for its collection of furniture, glass, jewellery, and a very fine collection of art ranging from the 1sth  -  20th century.

MONDAY 17th JUNE  2019                                                                                                                                 MOTTISFONT

To MOTTISFONT  (N TRUST)  where trees, babbling brooks and rolling lawns frame the 18th century house with a medieval  Priory at its heart. The Abbey contains a drawing room decorated by Rex Whistler. A 20th century art collection and a major exhibition are in the top floor gallery. Beautiful gardens and grounds to explore including the world famous collection of old fashioned roses, which flower once a year in June.

WEDNESDAY 17TH JULY 2019                                                                                                    STANSTED HOUSE & PARK

Stansted  House & Park, a hidden gem in parkland. ln 1983, the 1Oth Earl of Bessborough gave Stansted Park, the Arboretum his family home and its beautiful contents to the public. The-staterooms are furnished, as though the Earl was still at home. Extensive  Servants Quarters below stairs are filled with historic artefacts and Stewards will guide you through  the history of the House. Grounds, Walled gardens Arboretum and Maze can be visited.  The Chapel  of St Peter & Paul (open 1pm) was built in the ruins of the old House by the Rev. Lewis Wey in 1907.

TUESDAY 20TH AUGUST 2019                                                                                                                                 ARUNDEL

A whole day for you to enjoy the Arundel Gallery Trail which includes  more than 100 artists in over 50 venues in and around Arundel, mostly within easy walking distance  of the Town Centre. lt is an opportunity to see beautiful houses and gardens, not normally open to the public. The range of work includes  paintings,  sculpture, ceramic, jewellery,  textiles and furniture. The Trail map (free) is designed to guide visitors around the venues (all free). Many Artists will be at the venues for you to talk to, also
street entertainment, Theatre  Trail and other festive events
