Ewell Astronomical Society produces a monthly newsletter entitled Janus (A Roman god and a moon of Saturn discovered in 1966).

Janus has been the society's newsletter since 1966, but in recent years reverted to being an online publication due to lack of uptake. In 2017 however, Janus was brought back into print and was restored to its former glory as a cornerstone of the society, and as a primary means of communicating with our members.  Each month in the pages of Janus we publish a detailed sky update, the latest news from the society, meeting and observing session reports, equipment reviews, book reviews, beginners' brief, articles written by our members and much more.

Janus can be obtained as a free paper publication at our monthly meetings, or downloaded as a PDF here.

Submissions are always welcome and can be sent to the editor via this link

Back issues of Janus can be obtained from the editor by using the request form on this page and specifying which editions you want.

For details of the night sky, our Patron, Ian Morison, maintains a page on the Jodrel Bank website here
