Coldharbour Community Pavilion, Coldharbour Common Road, RH5 6HF
Following a fund raising campaign spearheaded by the Village Society the new pavilion was opened in May 2007 due in part to a grant obtained from DEFRA under its 'Rural Development Programme'. A new lease was granted by the National Trust to the Village Society for the use of the pavilion and cricket ground for a further 50 years.
The building has a fully-fitted kitchen, toilets, hot and cold showers and comes with a marquee, tables and chairs. It is available for private hire for nomadic cricket teams, stool-ball, children's parties, wedding receptions, nature days for schools and any group who wish to make use of this great facility in an idyllic setting. This is a perfect location why not pay us a visit and see for yourself.
We successfully applied for grant monies to fund a Solar Power Scheme to provide electricity to run all basic pavilion equipment and a Security system which were commissioned on 24/08/18. The grant monies were provided by 'The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development' ref No 109224 via the Rural Surrey LEADER Local Action Group, the 'Gatwick Airport Community Trust' as well as donations from Capel Parish Council and Surrey County Council.
The pavilion can be hired by the half-day (3 hours morning or afternoon) or longer, the half-day rate is £40, other prices available on request. All hirers are required to sign a contract and must be over 25 years of age. A refundable damages deposit will be charged. Please contact Becky Hopper on 01306 711754.
24 hour take-away hiring charges (included in the rate if you hire the pavilion but items can not be removed). The hirer is responsible for collection, return and insurance, a £100 - £500 returnable deposit will be charged.
