April 2017 - Draft Plan Consultation Document

A draft plan consultation document was prepared and copies delivered to key locations in Byfleet including the Library, Village Hall, Schools, Churches etc.  Residents are invited to comment on the document itself or email their comments in to info@byfleetforum.org

February 2016 - Drop-in Meetings

Further public drop-in meetings were held to give residents an opportunity to have their say on the five main areas of the proposed Neighbourhood Plan - Built Environment, Open Spaces, Social and Community and Village Infrastructure.

September 2014 - the Byfleet QuestionnaireByfleet Questionnaire

A questionnaire was delivered to every home in the village and was also available online, in order for every resident to have the opportunity to have their say about the issues that affect them and help to define our Neighbourhood Plan.

Almost 1600 questionnaires were completed which showed that the most important issues for Byfleet residents are protecting our Green Belt and open spaces; flooding; education; traffic; restoring health facilities and maintaining a variety of shops and businesses in the village.  These views have helped us to compile our Draft Neighbourhood Plan.

Full Questionnaire results and a shorter summary are available using the links on the right.

2014 Drop in meetings

March 2014 - Drop-in Meetings

Public drop-in meetings were held in the Village Hall to find out residents' views and gather support for the Forum.  In all, we signed up 50 new members, collected 614 signatures on a petition to restore health care to the village and 170 names in support of turning Vanner's Parade into a public right of way.

A bid by Taylor Wimpey to develop several green belt sites was also discussed with 93 people being strongly opposed and no one being in favour.
