Tandridge Rent Deposit Scheme

Finding it hard to get the deposit together?
The Tandridge Rent Deposit Scheme may be able to help by offering landlords, with private property to rent, a bond as security for a deposit.
To qualify for assistance you must:
- Be homeless, or likely to become homeless in the next three months.
- Have lived in Tandridge for the last three months, or have a strong local connection.
- Be receiving housing benefit.
To apply just call 01883 722593 (answerphone) and leave your name and number. The scheme co-ordinator will contact you and explain how the scheme works and offer advice about benefits and estate agents. They may even be able to put you in touch with a landlord if there is a suitable vacancy. Best of all this service is free.
If you have already found a place to live, but need help with a deposit, the scheme co-ordinator can talk to the landlord on your behalf and outline the benefits of the scheme.
