Caterham Car Scheme
This valuable service for the elderly, frail and disabled in North Tandridge operates from Caterham Volunteer Centre
- We provide a service for those people who are unable to use public transport and have no transport of their own
- If you have a hospital appointment, need to go to the dentist, shopping, hair appointment, or to visit a friend, give us a call
- We will arrange for a driver to pick you up from your home, wait for you and take you home again
- We make a nominal charge of 45p per mile from the driver's home and back again, which is payable to the driver on completion of the journey. You would also be required to pay any car parking charges involved
- To minimise costs we try to find a driver who lives near you
- When you call you will be asked for your name, address and telephone number, the date and time of your appointment. We will ring you back with the name of your driver and the pick up time
- Give as much notice as possible, preferably 48 hours or more
