Community recycling centres - public consultation
Surrey County Council will be consulting with residents and businesses on possible changes to community recycling centres (CRCs). The aim is to reduce the costs of running the CRCs and ensure the council’s budget is spent on the services which residents need the most.
The consultation is running until 30 September and will gather the views of residents on options including charging for non-household waste (such as DIY waste), reducing opening hours and closure of sites.
To take part in the consultation, residents and stakeholders can complete an online survey by visiting www.surreycc.gov.uk/recyclingcentres.
Have your say about allocating council or housing association homes
Tandridge District Council is reviewing its policy for allocating council or housing association homes and is carrying out a survey to get residents’ views. The Allocation Policy is used to decide who gets housing, which is essential, as there are a lot more applicants for housing than there are vacant properties.
Residents are invited to complete a short survey at www.tandridge.gov.uk/allocationpolicy.

New Composting Shedder broken
The THS Composting group regret to advise that due to a problem with the new shredder which unfortunately has broken we are unable to function as we would wish without this important piece of equipment.
So for the time being if would be appreciated if you could take all of your green waste to the council recycling centre in Warlingham.
We will put a notice on the THS website and advise you by email (if we have your email address) when things have returned to normal when the shredder has been returned
