Advisory Group members win volunteering award

Network Advisory group members Pam Elven and Jimmy Adams were presented with a volunteering award by David Davis, Chairman of Surrey County Council.

They were nominated for the their work in developing the Better Government for Older People project – Surrey 50+ Network. Mary Foster, 50+ Network Manager said ‘I am very proud to see Pam and Jimmy receiving recognition for all their hard work.’

Pam and Jimmy have generously dedicated many hours in a voluntary capacity to ensure the voice of older people is heard and can actively influence policies and services.

They have been instrumental in developing the Better Government for Older People Project.  They were part of the steering group, which established and guided the project to develop into the Surrey 50+ Network, taking part in the interview process and supporting the project throughout. 

They continue to be members of the Surrey 50+ Advisory group.
