Many people are retiring early but at the same time there are fewer people working in the younger age range. With the state pension age planned to rise in increments to 68 by 2044 many people are having to, or wanting to, work past retirement.
Research showed that two thirds of people from the baby boomer generation and above are wanting to continue to work past retirement age and some enlightened retailers are recognising the value of employing people 50+ on their sales staff and getting employees in cases with greater experience and knowledge.
Volunteering can also be a useful start to getting back into work. Find out more about volunteering through the links below.
