What we've been up to ...
This half term we will be harvesting and weighing our potatoes for the schools Grow Your Own Potatocompetition. Unfortunately the slugs ate our strawberries but a quick trip the supermarket meant that the children still had strawberries for snack time. The children have been having fun building dens with blankets and rugs which in the current heat has provided some welcome shade. The children who are moving up to school have been working on their leavers folders, so if they come home talking about a piece of work that hasn't come home with them, don't worry - it should materialise at the end of term!
It is in this half term that we prepare our school leavers for their big change in moving up to school. Don't worry, its a gradual process which the children are largely unaware of, with the exception of the odd visit from prospective reception teachers and changing for PE, its business as normal as far as the children are concerned. We have had St.Mary's and Rowledge schools visit us and St.Peters will be happening soon.
This year we are planning to have an end of year party rather than the sports days that we have had in the past. This partly due to Christmas party being cancelled due the snow we had and partly due to other circumstances. It will still be a great fun end to the the school year and we look forward to seeing you all there. ( Details to be be confirmed shortly.)

We are also collecting old printer cartridges, toner and mobile phones. Here is a list of what we can take (click here for PDF list)
