RUBBISH!
The Parish Council has received complaints from residents about the new refuse collection system recently introduced in Ockham by Guildford Borough Council. Problems reported include a lack of regular collections, rudeness of staff, litter on the highways and collections on days other than those published. GBC are aware of the issues and are trying to rectify them, unfortunately this has not been helped by the recent severe weather conditions. If you are still experiencing difficulties with refuse collection (February onwards) then we would like to hear from you on the Discussions page of this website, so that we can bring it to the attention of GBC.
POTHOLES
Following the recent inclement weather potholes are appearing on Ockham's roads. If reported to Surrey County Council the pothole will be inspected and repaired as appropriate. For details of how to report potholes please see the Highways section of this website.
