Ockham Parish lies to the north of Guildford, in one of the most sought after residential areas in the country.
Consisting of some 200 households, Ockham is readily accessible from the M25 and the A3, yet includes some of the most beautiful countryside such as Wisley Heath.
Our most famous resident was one William of Ockham. You can read about him here
Ockham Parish Council meets on a monthly basis and is administered by six resident volunteer Councillors and a stipendiary Parish Clerk.
As the first, and arguably the most approachable, tier of government we represent the parishioners and their views in areas such as planning, policing, highways and we manage local land and buildings such as the Village Hall and the burial grounds.
Our overriding task is to conserve and enhance this environment for the benefit of its residents and the wider community now and into future years.
