St Mark's Church, Wyke
Our Parish Church is first and foremost a house of prayer and a place of Christian worship and witness. It stands to the glory of God, who has been made known to us by Jesus Christ, in whose Name worship has been offered here for over 250 years.
A warm welcome awaits you and we hope that you will not only respond to the beauty and the history of the building, but also sense the presence of God who is worshipped here.
The church of ST. MARK WYKE is named after one of three hamlets (Wyke, Christmas Pie and Flexford) that were joined to create Normandy. It was erected in 1847 & is built of stone, with a belfry.
It is situated in the village of Normandy within the Diocese of Guildford, Surrey - within a short distance of the Hampshire border. The southern part of the parish lies within a mile of the Hogs Back on the North Downs, whilst the northern part undulates amidst the natural charms of surrounding woodland and commons.

Wyke Primary School
Wyke Primary School is situated on the outskirts of Normandy Village which lies between Aldershot and Guildford. We welcome children from the local community and from the surrounding outskirts of Guildford,
to Pirbright, to Ash and Ash Vale and even further. The school is set in attractive grounds, surrounded by trees and woodland. It has a large playground and playing field providing a good facility for Games and PE Activities for our children.
The environmental area is in the process of being developed but does provide opportunities for children to study pond life, life cycles and to learn to care for their environment.
The original school was built in 1876 and was used as a Victorian school, we have the log books of this time which are used by our Year 6 children when they study the Victorian era. Since that time much building work has taken place so that today we have a range of buildings providing spacious classrooms, a bright, large hall, a well equipped ICT suite, a well planned library and a kitchen area.
Our Reception Class uses a self contained, well resourced building which provides spacious accommodation inside and a large play area outside which is essential for children at this stage of their education. This area includes a range of working and role play areas inside the building, a covered area for outside activities, a trim trail, a climbing wall, grassy open space, a large playground area and access to the woodlands next to the building.
We provide our children with a broad and balanced curriculum designed to motivate and interest them. We aim for children to leave Wyke as confident, self assured children with a positive attitude towards learning which will enable them to continue to move socially and academically onto the next stage of their education.
