Mickleham Village Hall is available for hire for all types of events, including meetings, sales, concerts, classes and lectures, exhibitions, dances, lunches & dinners, parties and wedding receptions. It has been totally refurbished to a very high standard and has excellent kitchen facilities.

Built in 1905, this most attractive hall provides modern facilities while retaining much of its original character.

	The hall is situated in Dell Close, a quiet rural cul-de-sac off Old London Road in Mickleham, near the A24 between Dorking and Leatherhead. It adjoins glebe land and there is a footpath to St Michael’s Church. Norbury Park and National Trust woodlands, which include Box Hill, are within walking distance. The hall is available for hire on a sessional, daily, long weekend or weekly basis (during school holidays). There are special rates for longer sessions and for groups who use the hall regularly.
	Main hall: 17 m x 8.25 m (56’x 27’) approx The main hall with its high ceiling is extremely versatile. Maximum capacity: 200 Seating: 150 Dining: 96 Available by arrangement: sound and loop system top of the range digital piano 3 metre-wide pull-down screen Annexe: 6.4 m x 4.9 m (21’x 16’) approx This area is occupied by the St Michael’s Community Nursery during the week. Half of the area can be cleared and may be available for use by other groups at weekends and during the holidays.
	Facilities for the disabled include a separate toilet designed for use by people in wheelchairs. There is ramp access to the main hall from two dedicated parking spaces. The interior of the hall is all on one level.
	Kitchen facilities include: fridge/freezer large cooker hot cupboard kettle hot water boiler commercial dishwasher There is a small stock of assorted china and cutlery for general use.
	Place settings of china and cutlery are available to hire.
	The car park next to the hall was extended during the summer of 2010 and now accommodates 50 cars.

Garden The site is landscaped and fringed with trees. There is a large recreation ground with playground nearby. The fenced-in play area behind the hall is used by the Community Nursery and is not available for general use.

Hire charges include all heating and lighting and use of the kitchen, tables and chairs. You will be expected to leave the hall clean and tidy, ready for the next hirer. If it is necessary to clean the hall after you leave, the cost of this will be deducted from your deposit.

A deposit and full payment are required at the time of booking. The deposit is intended to cover cancellation, breakages and/or extra cleaning as required. Please ensure that you have negotiated sufficient time for setting up, and clearing and cleaning the hall afterwards.

In order to comply with our public entertainment licence all events must end by 11.30 p.m. unless an extension has been arranged. The hall does not hold a licence for the sale of alcohol. Management Committee permission is required before any application to extend the hours and/or sell alcohol.
