The Wedding
I’ve just come back from a wedding.
Held in a beautiful land,
Where butterflies, birds and flowers abound
And there’s miles of pearly white sand.
The sky was blue, the sun shone down,
The bride looked stunning in a fabulous gown.
Friends and relations gathered there
And the beautiful site was beyond compare.
The water was covered in candles and flowers.
The music played and we danced for hours.
The bride and groom were radiant too,
Having pledged their vows for a life anew.
And so at last like all good things
This wonderful wedding came to an end.
I was so happy that I could attend,
And together with others I wended my way
At the end of a really memorable day.
