The history of Hersham Baptist Church
About forty years ago a Baptist Sunday School was established in Hersham and through the years this was held in various locations. Some time later the Sunday school moved to the Drill Hall in the Molesey Road and a group of people started to meet together as a Baptist Fellowship.
To provide greater Flexibility for meetings and a more a appropriate base, alternative accommodation was sought and eventually, with the helpful co-operation of St. Peter's church, Hersham and the Diocese of Guildford, a church building was obtained at the corner of Arch road; Hersham Baptist Church commenced meeting there in 1994 and still meets there today.
