GUILDFORD-FREIBURG ASSOCIATION

Since 1979, Guildford has been twinned with Freiburg im Breisgau, a city in Baden-Württemberg (in the south-west of Germany) with a population that now exceeds 220,000 inhabitants.

The Guildford-Freiburg Association ('GFA') was also formed in 1979, to promote understanding between Guildford and Freiburg, as well as to strengthen the bonds between them through:

  • Contacts: personal, social, sporting, cultural,business and official;
    and
  • Exchange visits and links: between schools, businesses, clubs and societies.
