Epsom Medical Equipment Fund is a small, independent registered charity set up to buy equipment for Epsom General Hospital which the hospital would not normally be able to afford.
The charity was founded in June 1980 by local lady, Bess Harding, MBE. Bess works with just a tiny, but very enthusiastic, band of volunteers, but has achieved startling results thanks to the generosity of people and businesses in the area.
The Fund holds various fund raising events throughout the year including a Barn Dance, Murder Mystery Evening, Bourne Hall Market and Car Boot Sales.
Regular raffles and tombolas are held to raise money. The Fund recycles greetings cards which are available for sale.
