Abinger Parish Council covers a large rural community which includes parts of Abinger Hammer and Holmbury St. Mary, Abinger Common,Forest Green, Walliswood and Oakwood Hill. As a parish council we strive to serve the community, preserve, maintain and nurture our environment and continue to support community intiatives, clubs, village halls and playgrounds.
Action for Carers (Surrey) is lead by carers, run by an executive committee of carers and supported by professionals from Health, Social Services and the voluntary sector. Its main aim is to raise awareness of carers’ needs and concerns throughout the county and to work in partnership with statutory services.
ACE Surrey offers free impartial information, advice and guidance to carers or former carers who are considering a return to learning or work. We provide support in identifying skills and interests, planning career choices and exploring training and/or employment options.
AFSS provides support, information and advice to refugees and asylum seekers from Sub-Sahara Africa living in Greater London and Surrey. We provide mentoring to young people, skills training into education, training and employment to both adults and youth.
Information and advice to local elderly. Visiting service, bereavement support group, voluntary car pool, luncheon club every other Wednesday, drop-in club, coffee morning, minibus for hire. Mobile warden.

Age Concern Dorking and District exists to promote the well-being of all older people in the District, whilst recognising their right to independence, fulfillment, dignity and choice, working with them to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
Age Concern Waverley is a registered charity which exists to provide services and promote the well being of all older people in the Waverley Area. We provide a gardening scheme, handyman service and a thorough information and advice facility. We have Rowleys, which provides healthy, low cost meals, chiropody, hairdressing, reflexology and activities such as bingo and exercise classes.

Ash Parish Council serves the people of Ash and works to ensure that the interests of the local residents are clearly communicated to the higher level of goverment such as Guildford Borough and Surrey County Council.

The Brigitte Trust is a registered charity offering a free service of emotional support and practical help to people suffering from cancer, motor neurone disease and other life-threatening illness. Carer Support Elmbridge is a charity supporting the unpaid carer, who may care for a relative, friend or neighbour. It is completely independent of the statutory agencies. There are two Carer Support and Advocacy Workers. They are able to offer advocacy, general information, help in obtaining services, home visits, support groups, a listening ear and training opportunities.

Dorking Museum displays a variety of historical artifacts, minerals, natural history specimens, chalk fossils, oil and water colour paintings etc. A collection of books, maps, photographs, documents and other records are available for consultation and research by visitors.
