A walking group based on Haslemere,catering mainly for retired persons, organising walks of about 7 miles every Thursday in an area some 20 miles around Haslemere. Social and away day activities are also occasionally arranged.

Crossroads is a national charity that provides care for those with a disability whilst giving the carer a break.
Our aim is to help relieve the stress of caring by enabling the carer, or family, to have some time for themselves. Regular breaks can help minimise the risk of carer breakdown, thereby avoiding unnecessary admission to hospital or residential care.
To provide a home-based care attendant service to enable carers to have a few hours respite. Trained care attendants provide this free service to carers of a person who has a physical or sensory disability, the elderly frail, a child with a disability or learning disability.
Crossroads offers support to carers who are looking after someone in their own home. This includes carers of people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, serious illness and mental health problems. The support is offered free of charge.
