East Street - Plans for the re-development of East Street were made available on 26 February to view in Farnham Town Council offices and The Bury's in Godalming. Further details are available at http://www.waverley.gov.uk/eaststreet/index.asp. The Residents' Association is commenting on the application via the United Voice of Farnham, a collaboration of 27 Farnham associations responding to the East Street plans. To date, feedback from our members is that the plans:
- are out of keeping with the town
- will damage existing shopping and dining choices through flooding the market
- will cause further unwelcome congestion to the A287 and town centre
- do not provide adequate parking
